Celebrating Community

Saturday, June 8th was a great day here at the Saddletowne YMCA.  We kicked things off in the morning with a Stampede Breakfast put on by the amazing folks at the Stampede Board.  Our parking lot was turned into a western wonderland as hundreds of people cameout to enjoy the traditional pancake breakfast as well as many other fun activities
such as chuck wagon rides and rope making.  Traditional square dancing was present along with an infusion of local NE culture with the Punjabi Dance Troop  preforming  as
well

In the evening Saddletowne Y staff had the chance to support our friends in Martindale as they celebrated 25 years of their local community association.  As relative newcomers to the NE, we have received great support from the local community associations and  were happy to attend this special event.  Community building does not happen through a single
individual, association or organization and we are extremely pleased to part of this collective community in the North East.  We hope to celebrate many more years of collaboration in our community!
